AISL's policy has been that if a student or staff member or any member of their household has traveled internationally or had close contact with someone who has, then we expect that person to stay off campus for fourteen (14) days after travel or the initial exposure. This policy was developed according to prevailing guidelines by the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) and international health experts, including the World Health Organization and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). After consultation with the Ministry of Health and based on recently revised guidance from CDC, we have revised our policy. We will now allow post-travel quarantines to be reduced to seven (7) days when they are accompanied by a negative PCR test result, according to the conditions described below.
A student or staff member who has travelled internationally or been exposed to someone who has travelled internationally may return to school through one of two options:
