We will be sending home report cards to families electronically on Monday, 5 February. For any families who may need assistance accessing the report through Managebac, please see Leverne Hinze, our Primary Assistant, for assistance. She will be happy to help you.
This semester, you may notice a few changes in the report card format. Information Technology Fluency (ITF) includes comments on skill progression in library and IT as a combined comment. Our Modern Languages have moved to reporting in phases of fluency, with a key provided at the end of the report card for your reference. Our numerical grading system is now part of a continuum of development that better matches our beliefs about how children learn, including a number and a descriptor. A key with each of the descriptors is included at the back of the report. Last week, Christine Kelly, our Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning, and Tony Potts, our Assistant Principal for Technology and Innovation, hosted a Parent Information Session on Assessment and Reporting in the Primary School. Below are slides that were included in their presentation that we would like to share with you.
