This week’s parent resource is an excerpt from the latest book that I am reading, Creating Cultures of Thinking by Ron Ritchhart, also associated with research being done at Harvard. It makes an interesting point about how the manner in which we discuss what is done in school can actually conflict with learning. It brings forward an interesting question to ponder. Is the point of going to secondary school about learning or has turned it into a series of tasks that must be accomplished in order to get to university?
