Transitioning to the next grade level

As we near the end of a wonderfully busy year, part of our transition is looking ahead to what is coming next. All of our students will be experiencing some kind of transition, whether that is a move to a new country, a new school, or a new grade level. After working with your child for a whole school year, your child’s teacher has had a chance to know how your child learns best and has observed who s/he interacts well with both inside and outside the classroom. These key pieces, in addition to balancing gender, language, learning needs, and peer groups inform our decision-making in the complex process of creating class lists for next year.
